This subject is designed for PhD students in mid-career who are or will be engaged in organizational leadership and project management in public administration, industry development, public-private partnerships, and other relevant settings. It provides the knowledge and skills essential for leading capacity development of maritime organizations and networks, including Women in Maritime Associations (WIMAs) and other entities, through gender-sensitive project design and management.
This subject is part of the Gender-Inclusive Leadership in Maritime (GILM) training programme commissioned by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the admitted PhD students will participate in both online and in-person learning activities with other participants selected by IMO and the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA).
PhD students whose country of origin are from developing countries or whose research focuses on cases of developing countries are encouraged to apply for the limited seats available.
